Terra di Mezzo – Mute Tammorra / Middle Eastern Frame Drum

Terra di Mezzo is a unique Tunable frame drum including Mediterranean and Middle Eastern traditions. Crafted from solid oak with a deep 10 cm frame, it combines the structure of a traditional tammorra muta campana and upper-style frame drum.

The white Mylar head produces warm, grounded tones with excellent dynamic range, ideal for subtle textures or powerful rhythms. The large 40 cm diameter offers depth and presence, while the window-style grip and lap cutout provide ergonomic comfort for both seated playing, upright style and Italian traditional techniques.

Designed for solo performance, improvisation, and deep rhythmic exploration, Terra di Mezzo delivers a resonant, earthy voice full of nuance and control. TERRA DI MEZZO is tunable and the key is included!
